Manningham Community Health Services Limited (MCHSL) is an independent community health service, registered under the Health Services Act 2001, and a company limited by guarantee. Predominantly funded by the State Government through the Department of Health, MCHSL provides a comprehensive range of health, education and social support services and operates in a dynamic environment responding to client and community needs and government policy. MCHSL values collaboration and actively works to build and maintain effective partnerships in order to provide the best possible services and programs to those most in need within our community.
We are specifically a health service offering individual allied health care, along with a variety of different group programs for the people in Manningham. We also run Early Intervention Service for children 0-6 years old. Staff are clinically trained in many areas of practice, including physiotherapy, podiatry, dietetics, mental health, occupational therapy, speech pathology, early childhood to name a few.

You can now claim a Medicare rebate for Podiatry, Physiotherapy and Paediatric Speech Pathology services at MCHS. These services are for people with an ongoing, chronic condition and referrals are made by your GP and include a care plan. The service has short waiting times for an appointment and is aimed at those on low to medium incomes. Bulk billing will apply to low income earners. Talk to your GP to see if you are eligible or call us on 8841 3000. |

Over a 2 year period, 5 partner agencies in Manningham provided an innovative community training program offering 400 subsidised training places in the accredited Mental Health First Aid Course (MHFA). Course participants improved their skills in supporting those with a mental health issue.
Jenny Jackson, CEO of MCHS is very pleased to announce the publication of the “Manningham Minds Partnership Project Evaluation Report” which can be found here (link). MCHS plans to continue to offer MHFA Training to improve mental health literacy and help for people with mental health problems to gain intervention and treatment. Jenny acknowledged the support of Rotary Club of Doncaster in establishing this important training program. |

Manningham Community Health Service has launched a playgroup to cater for children with developmental needs. The playgroup is facilitated by professional staff and provides support for both families and children. |

MCHSL is assisting in overcoming the barriers that deprive migrants of basic medical and social support with the introduction of the ISACC program – Increasing Service Access for the Chinese Community. |

In May and June 2012, 86 clients were randomly chosen to provide feedback on the service they received from Manningham Community Health Service. 100% of the clients stated that they were happy with the treatment they received. |

We have recently taken ownership of four new fleet cars courtesy of a partnership between MCHSL and the Doncaster East and Templestowe Village branches of the Bendigo Community Bank. These cars will be used for home visits and volunteer transport for clients. |

Manningham youngsters are staying happy and healthy with some help from their new Family Play Kits, developed by Manningham Community Health Services - Health Promotion Team. The kits provide some ideas and equipment for families to interact together. |

MCHSL offers many varied groups and activities including Diabetes Education, Mental Health, Strength Training, Hydrotherapy, Pilates, Tai Chi and COPD. We also run Artlinks, Music and Men's Shed programs. |

Manningham Community Health Service Podiatry offer a
one-off interactive education session that explores the challenges of looking after one’s feet with limited mobility, the importance of footwear in preventing foot pathologies and preventative practices to maintain healthy feet. Sessions run for one hour. Cost $7. |
