The hydrotherapy program is gentle, low impact water exercise conducted in a heated pool (34 degrees). Benefits could include increased muscle strength, improved joint mobility, pain relief, relaxation, increased general fitness and improved balance. Hydrotherapy is held off site at a pool in Balwyn.

This short term course is targeting people who have had falls, or feel their balance has declined. Included is a series of balance, stretching and strengthening exercises aimed at making you safer on your feet.

Suited to over 80 year olds, this home based program is for the elderly who are unable to come into the centre and require exercises to improve balance and prevent falls.

Suitable for older clients, this is a gentle exercise group to music with the emphasis on friendship and fun. The program includes exercises, refreshments and time for a social chat.

This is a scientifically proven progressive strength-training program using arm and leg weights. With 2 sessions a week, for 6 weeks, those suffering from arthritis, diabetes, chronic pain and general de-conditioning will benefit from this program.

This short course aims to benefit those with chronic or recurrent back conditions. The focus is on the deep abdominal and back muscles, posture improvement and total body conditioning.

Phase 3: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Rehabilitation
This long-term group is for clients who have completed the Phase 2 COPD program in a hospital or rehab setting in the past 12 months. The program focuses on fitness, strength training, breathing exercises and maintenance for COPD sufferers. A referral is required from a respiratory physiotherapist or respiratory physician to participate in this group.
