Accessing Services
via the Manningham Access Team (MAT)
How do I access services at Manningham Community Health Services (MCHS)? |
| |
You may contact Reception on (03) 8841 3000 and register your interest for service. You will be asked to leave your name, phone number and the nature of the service you are requesting. |
What happens after I leave my details with Reception? |
| |
A staff member from the Manningham Access Team (MAT) will contact you to discuss your request in more detail so that an appropriate assessment of your needs can be made. Your name will then be placed on a waiting list to receive the service you have requested. |
How long will I wait to receive services? |
| |
The waiting lists vary for each service. The MAT will be able to advise you of an approximate waiting time and will contact you again at a later date to make an appointment with a clinician. If your needs are of an urgent nature, MAT will advise you to contact your GP or other emergency services. |
What happens if MCHS is not able to provide me with the service I have requested? |
| |
If MCHS do not provide the service you have requested or if there is a more appropriate service that can meet your needs, MAT will be able to advise you regarding alternative services and provide contact details where appropriate. |
Am I able to access interpreters? |
| |
The MAT has Cantonese / Mandarin and Greek speaking team members who are able to assist where necessary. Interpreters for other languages can be arranged for you if required. |
