Our Dietitians work with you to promote health, well-being and achievement of your health goals. Dietitians are health professionals who have expert knowledge in food and nutrition. We provide:

Nutrition information and advice on different health issues.
Nutrition information to individuals, families and groups in the community.
A focus on preventing illness and promoting health for all.
Work with members of the community, GPs, allied health professionals, local government and other organisations to promote health and well being.
We see individuals and families and tailor dietary advice to your needs.

We can offer advice on:

Health eating
Infant, toddler and child nutrition
Nutrition in the elderly
Pregnancy and pre-conception nutrition
Women's Health
Weight Management

We offer a range of group programs with focuses for members of the community. These include:

In-home Services

This service is available to Home And Community Care clients, ie, frail older people, people with disabilities and their carers, who require home-based service.

Reasons to see a dietitian include unintentional weight loss or weight gain, decreased appetite, chewing/swallowing difficulties, diabetes and other nutrition related conditions, such as Parkinson's disease and Osteoporosis. A dietitian can help by:

Acting as a resource on food and nutrition issues.
Providing comprehensive nutritional assessments.
Developing tailored eating plans and dietary recommendations.
Providing education on dietary management for clients and carers.

Note: Interpreters can be arranged free of charge.
