Become a Volunteer Driver
Do you have some free time? |
Would you like to fill that free time with a worthwhile and rewarding experience? |
Do you enjoy driving? |
Are you kind and patient? |
Are you interested in helping members of your local community? |
If you have answered YES to all these questions, have you considered becoming a VOLUNTEER DRIVER?
We are seeking expressions of interest from people who would be interested in being a volunteer driver for Manningham Community Health Services Limited – Transport and Volunteer Program. Our program is in need of volunteers to drive frail elderly people, people with mobility issues and people with disabilities to various leisure activities/groups and medical appointments.
We have a fleet of cars and a mini bus that can be used to drive our clients. You can also drive your own vehicle to perform this service and you would then be reimbursed for petrol costs.
The amount of time, frequency and days can be negotiated. We are happy to be flexible and fit in with your schedule. It can be once a week, once a fortnight or once a month. Any time commitment, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
We require people who are kind and patient, who enjoy driving, who may have some spare time and would like to contribute to their local community. Volunteering can be a very worthwhile and rewarding experience and has been shown by research to be good for your health.
If you have any questions or would like further information about this service, please contact the Coordinator of Volunteers and Transport at Manningham Community Health Services Limited, phone: (03) 8841 3041.

Become a Men's Shed Volunteer
Do you have some free time? |
Would you like to fill that free time with a worthwhile and rewarding experience? |
Do you enjoy giving others assistance and support? |
Do you consider yourself a bit of a handyman? |
Are you patient and have a sense of humour? |
Are you interested in helping men from your local community? |
Why not volunteer at the Men’s Shed?
This program aims to fill a gap in men’s lives.
Perhaps they no longer have the sanctuary of their shed due to changed living arrangements. |
Perhaps they are aged, isolated or have a disability and require some extra support and assistance. |
The Shed is a place where men of all ages can pursue their interest in woodwork, handcrafts, electronics, mechanics etc. |
Its also a place to meet for socialization. To have a cuppa and a chat, whilst making or fixing ‘things’. |
