ABOUT THE TRANSPORT SERVICE
Our volunteers provide assistance with transport to various medical appointments, such as doctor, podiatry or dental.
Transport is provided for appointments within the local Manningham area and to Peter James Centre at East Burwood. The driver will collect you and return you home following your appointment. They also wait while you attend your appointment.
We make every effort to provide transport for our clients, however as our service is staffed only by volunteers, transport is dependent on the availability of a volunteer driver. We will contact you the day before your appointment to confirm the details or advise if we are unable to provide the transport for this day.
We do not provide transport to hospitals or to the city, or transport to shopping centres, chemists, hairdressers etc.
If you have any questions or would like further information about this service, including fees, please call the Coordinator of Volunteers and Transport on: (03) 8841 3000
We are always interested in hearing from anyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer driver for this service. If you think you may be interested, please feel free to contact us or click here for more information on our volunteer programs.
